1. I love Tim Burton's stuff.
Edward Scissorhands, Batman, Sleepy Hollow...just great stuff.

I like his casting decisions, as well.

2. You will probably enjoy Corpse Bride, then
Interestingly, Johnny Depp's character looks a little like a puppet Ichabod Crane and the Corpse Bride looks vaguelly like Sally the Ragdoll (but has ten times the spunk!)

3. Isn't it Winona Ryder?
She was good in Edward Scissorhands.

4. Helen Bonham-Carter plays the corpse bride
Now that you mention it...I can't even remember any recent Tim Burton movies that Winona Ryder has been in...she probably would have made a cool Katrina Van Tassel, though. I enjoyed Christina Ricci's performance well enough but it always seemed that there was something lacking. Possibly because she has practically no lines...I've read the shooting script and the movie novelization and Katrina is a more active, stronger personality instead of the "damsel in distress" that the movie has reduced her to. There was a particularly interesting scene between Katrina and Ichabod (sort of "naive city man" meets "wiser-than-you-think country woman") that regretably was cut from the final version of the movie.
