38. no, the building was much the same when I went there
in the 60s. I don't remember separate doors... hmmm. That is interesting. (scratches head. ) There may have been a separate door for nuns, though. ;)

Edited on Fri Sep-23-05 02:25 PM by Shell Beau
that isn't a pic from MS. All of the rest are for sure. The background of that pic looks a lot like areas in my town but I know for a fact that there are no moose in Greenville, MS. So maybe that pic isn't my hometown! Oops. The rest are for sure!!! I promise.

34. Where I live
Here are a couple of my village -

the village pond:

one of the parish churches (a good few hundred years old):

There are two towns near by, this is Beaconsfield new-town (so called because it only dates back to the arrival of the railway about 100 years ago):

This is Beaconsfield old-town (which is the older part of it), specifically Beaconsfield fair which has been going on since 1269:

There is also High Wycombe - this is the Guildhall, and the big ugly thing to its right is the 'Millenium chair-arch' (it was a centre of the furniture industry - especially chairs) which was thankfully only a temporary construction:
