A topic I've been thinking about calling into Malloy about-Young Blood
Edited on Wed Sep-21-05 04:01 PM by noahmijo
Okay first off I have to comment on the lack of quality callers he's been having lately. Seriously who the hell are these nuts who call up with these weak little voices and actually ask not once but TWICE for permission to ask Mike a question? These people who drone on and on and on off some paragraph they found online that is hardly even credible.

Look alot of people who call Malloy's show are cool there are those types of callers too, but lately this "let's take in a soft slowwwww voice and read a poem or two"

I'm a Buddhist or at least Buddhist leaning and even I think this is ridiculous, action is necessary not violent action but action that goes beyond trying to get your audience to listen to some story about unicorns-save those stories for your kids at home, bust out the cold hard facts people are dying, people are suffering, your president refers to other Americans as "that part of the WORLD" talk about how Iraq is quickly developing into Saudia Arabia pt. II, understand the fact that reading deep historical collections about past and modern warfare and history is completely removed from these people; they still think that we attacked Germany during WW II without provocation..

Okay now onto topic. I just turned 24 a few days ago I am at this point just ashamed and frusterated at those in my age group. It's bad enough the pro-bushies in my age group totally have zero concept of reality they think war is like Ghost Recon, they have no sense of history, alot of these people are older than me they grew up during Iran-Contra and should have at least heard of the installment of The Shah and so forth but yet they have no clue no concept whatsoever as to what is happening in this country or the fact that the bullseye is dead on their smirking faces.

Look we're the generation and those of you who had kids my age you know it's us that are going to suffer the most from the bush crime family's actions, everything from the deficit to generations of war where is it going to end?

And when I attend protests what do I see? everyone is old enough to be my grandfather or grandmother, on one hand I commend those vets those people who step up to defy the flat earth party, but at the same time singing peace songs and banging drums just doesn't do it, it turns most people off, it turns me off at least, I don't see the point in that, I would rather see these people holding up signs that read stuff like this

I guess ultimately I'd love to see a massive movement of other kids my age all at once screaming on the White House steps "We're not gonna die for your bullshit war!" or something like that, just see more Gen X and Y'ers stepping up and getting into the game with a modern voice and that will be what I'll be looking for this weekend at the DC march.
