My Agenda
I'm celebrating my modest 100th post here by announcing my personal agenda for frequenting DU:
1. I want to enjoy the livliest, brightest, most informative site on the Web
2. I want to do all I can to keeping us on message: Bush Must Go. I view everyone here as a potential ally to that end (even the lurking freepers--the Left thrives on openness and diversity--the Right dries up and dies when exposed to either).
3. I want to engage in spirited debate and share insights and resources with kinda, sorta like-minded people, while knowing that too much like-mindedness would make the whole thing kinda, sorta boring.
4. I want to connect with people who share some common non-political passions: like Dylan, the Sox & Pats, and all things Italian...
5. In the 2000 election, my daughter voted Green; my in-laws voted Bush; I didn't like Gore (still don't) but voted for him anyway. At Christmas we all sat down together, drank lots of wine, ate good food, laughed loud and long, and loved each other's company...because we all knew that in the end politics is a sorry third to family and art.

3. Maybe even Sophia Loren?
Why maybe?

Oh, the streets of Rome are filled with rubble
Ancient footprints are everywhere
You can almost think that you're seein' double
On a cold dark night on the Spanish Stairs
Got to hurry on back to my hotel room
Where I've got me a date with Boticelli's niece
She promised that she'd be right there with me
When I paint my masterpiece

B. Dylan
