Her name changes a lot (depending on our mood and hers).

Right now her name is K-Dawg (for Kat Dog)

Here she is lying on her back. When we eat, she lyes all splay out upside down like that and stares at us. Cute!

The dignified Kitty High Yearbook Picture. Such style!

3. 8 years
My old roommate picked up a stray, and wouldn't you know it was pregnant. So K-Dawg was born in my apartment, and followed me around from day 1 (or actually day 3, she couldn't really do much the first 2 days). Definitly the weirdest cat I've ever had. She's so human sometimes. Plus so sweet. Even my fiance who is a dog person likes her!

6. I named my cats- I still don't know why.
I see you have a little P-diddy thing going, always coming up with a new name for him?

This is Chairman meow consulting with his twin brother Flea Taxi. They only understand warm laps, warm milk and the sound of the can opener or the pull tab can opening.

8. Found them on the side of the road one year ago.
I have six dogs so no way was I going to be able to keep them, right? They were 3-4 months old at the time and the dogs would rip them to shreads! But a funny thing happened. The adult male (Buddy) took a liking to them, even followed the boys around the house. He seemed protective of the kittens. He even started breaking up cat fights when he deemed them out of control. Next thing ya know.......

This is Buddy- he is a great dog.

10. I love Maine-ism's (for lack of a better term)-Wicked.
My Dad grew up in Portland, we would go back and see family every summer. Portland is such a cool town. (haven't been in 20+ years)
I remember fishing off the pier by the fish plant in the bay. Two lights state park and Old Orchard beach. Bar Harbor and going to L.L. Beans.

11. Yup. I never want to leave hear.
Its nice, I live right in the heart of the peninsula across from Deering Oaks. This city and its cozy New England liberal-art ways is all thats makes this country bearable.

13. K-dawg is a lovely cat!

Once in the mid-seventies I visited a friend in Portland. A wicked hot heat spell was going on, and she took us to a park where we waded into a river in which a lot of people sat on submerged, big, smooth flattish rocks and conversed while keeping nice and cool. It was delightful. Do you know this place?

12. That photo with CM and FT and 2 of your 6 dogs is sweet
and reminded me of my two old pals, Brindle and Ticket, (RIP), who used to defy the dog/cat/enemy thing and sleep on a love seat together.
Ticket looked a lot like your boys. I found him in 1975 by the ferry ticket office in Wood's Hole Massachusetts. The woman at the ticket booth had seen the ~3 mo.-old kitten hanging around for a couple of days, but no one knew where he had come from and she had only given him water. The ferry needed to have its door welded and was delayed for 4 hours so I played with the little cat to wear him out so he'd sleep on the ferry, left my name and number with the woman, and tucked him in my sweater to take him home to Nantucket. He stayed with me for 14 years.
Your story has fortified my resolve to get another tabby, which I've resisted because our Sally-dog is such a bossy Border-heeler. I guess dogs have a parenting instinct for youngish kitties.
