that does excellent Eggplant Parmigiana. I may do either that or seafood. :)

Really... Fresh air, nice view, open spaces, it makes
life worthwhile.

Then I'd spend the day with friends.

11. I would take time to reflect
and look at my life to determine what is left that needs to be done.

One of the most interesting things I've ever read about is the "Before I die" list. It doesn't matter when you write it, but it's something to keep with you as you go on with your life, and check things off as you do them. What you do with them is another matter--you don't have to do something more than once if you don't want to, but the idea is to at least try something simply for the sake of curiosity.

Things like:

I want to take a pottery class

I want to hangglide or skydive.

I want to go down the Colorado river on a whitewater raft

I want to stare at the stars from the desert at 1:00 in the morning

I want to take a drawing class

I want to climb Mt. Everest

I want to walk in the redwood forest

I want to see Giza at night

I want to buy a dozen red roses for myself

I want to hear myself paged at Grand Central Station

I want to ride a bus to nowhere and be pleasantly surprised

I want to grow tomatoes in a garden

etc.

Some things you will never do. Some things you will find you enjoy enough to do more than once. Some things will be simple, and easily accomplished, but others will be a worthwhile goal to dream about.

I've tried to formulate my own list through the years, and have much to do yet, but I have managed to clear off some of those things I only dreamed of as a young adult. :)

12. That's a good list, Hyphenate. I have done some of those things...
and more. There are several adventures I'd like to take on. A cross country ride on horseback would be one. I'd like to close up the house, saddle up a good horse and go ride as far as I want until I get tired of it. That might make a subject for a book, too. :)

15. Well, since I did just that a couple of years ago..(almost)
let me see if I can remember...

I voted for spending the day on DU with friends, even though when I turned 60, I was not yet on DU...BTW...

It's not a big deal, my dear BikeWriter..

I'll be 62 this NOvember, and I am happy to be here, in the world, loving my friends and posting on DU...

On my 60th birthday, my husband and I probably went out to dinner...in fact I think that was what we did...to a place that was new to us...

Enjoy your day, my dear BikeWriter....Hope it's a happy one...

Happy Birthday, old man! (it's my Dad's B-day too)

Now if I were you, I'd find myself a cute little filly, have a few drinks and make love to her on the back of my Harley.
