Today, I paid $55 for gas, at $3.359 a gallon. Why can't the Senators and the dipshit order a freeze on gas prices? It's all a fraud. Katrina should not be impacting the prices so much and so high.

I paid 2.55 last week. I have a .70 off per gallon coupon from a local outlet for the next fill-up - I still have half a tank, but who knows what it will be by then!

2. I wonder if the people who work at the gas stations can walk to work

because, if the prices keep up for very long, they won't be able to afford gas to drive to work to sell gas.

3. Paid $2.99 in St Paul, MN yesterday evening

although I fear it's higher tonight with the holiday weekend coming up.

IIRC we don't get much of our fuel from the Gulf, so we're not as affected as other parts of the nation.

5. $3.89 at Stewart's across the street from Hess $3.29 - same grade of gas.

6. $3.39 near my semi-rural home - $3.19 most expensive in DC, where

average was $3.09. An example of outright gouging.

I'm sure it's pretty much the same everywhere in teh state too.
