1. I'm in Michigan,
a friend of mine was admitted to hospital with severe abdominal pain, she has NO insurance. Apparently they have people there that can make the application for medicaid for you , that's what they did for her. She's still waiting to hear.

best of luck

I'm sorry I don't know anything about medicare, medicaid etc .. I'm a transplant in the USA and still learning.

4. Generally with any state Medicaid
a person has to be well-near impoverished to qualify for it. The app is pretty extensive and requests a listing of all personal assets, car included, so that if one exceeds the minimum criteria for qualification they're expected to "spend down" before getting any coverage.

Sorry, not great news, but that's American health care for 'ya.

Depending on his income bracket he may qualify for reduced-price or free meds from a local public health pharmacy (independent of Medicaid coverage).

Hope he's feeling better soon!

5. Thanks.
From what I could tell from the Michigan state website, their requirements are worse then Arizona's! :wow: I mean AZ is pretty much at the bottem of every list imaginable yet...our people can be 100% of poverty to 150%!
