Tropical Storm Irene looks like it could head right up the Chesapeake...
Isabel hit us 2 years ago, and people are still living in temp shelters. Are we ready for this?

1. It's probably too early to tell...
...and, in truth, the projected path makes it look more like it would hit along the mouth of the Delaware River to me. But it's still worrisome...I have many family members living along the Chesapeake. :scared:

3. Most likely too early, but by the time we can tell,
the grocery stores will be out of TP and batteries.

2. Chesapeake be damned, what about the HUDSON!
This thing has been turning further and further north by the day. A couple models I saw earlier today had it hitting Connecticut/Mass area.

I think this thing could go up the Hudson or worse.

6. The Chesapeake's already been damned...doesn't need more, thanks.
If you feel it's a threat to you, it can't hurt to be prepared...

10. I'm ready. Bring it on!
Of course, it'll be hard to get to work if everything floods.

This is why for some reason I keep a bunch of gallon jugs of water and canned goods. Well, it'll be a nice ride if it comes up here. Probably, nothing too bad, water is still quite cool above the Carolinas, likely just a good 36 hour soak.

7. Oh no! It figures I'm headed to Cape Cod next week.
I really hope the hurricane doesn't hit the Northeast. Our beaches took a battering this past winter will all the snowstorms.
