DU Men - When did you start shaving?
My kid is 14 and has serious peach fuzz. It's blonde, but very noticeable. He's starting high school next week. Is it better for him to start the shaving routine or let it go for a while longer.

5. 13 - once a week, whether I needed it or not!
Daily, about age 16. NOT my favorite pastime, but it's kinda automatic, now.

Before that, I had a beard. (Well, enough of one to be noticable.) My folks told me to shave it off before a school interview. I felt like my face was naked. After that, I grew a mustache but shaved the rest of my face.

Maybe when I go totally bald, I'll grow the beard back again...

12. 1 word: ZZ Top!
Well 2 letters and 1 word, but...

Why shave? In a couple of weeks he can have a kick-ass beard down to his belt buckle. That and a couple of strategically placed tats, a big stupid guitar and he'll be paying the mortgage in no time! And getting chicks to spare!

but seriously, try to put it off til he's 16 because, admit it, shaving is a pain in the ass.

13. Fourteen
I remember shaving for the first time before my first week of high school. Back then, I only had to about once a week or so without getting too scruffy.

try starting him with a good electric. I started my son on the electric and he took to it pretty quickly.

15. PRN. As in now.
Light, abliet "serious" peach fuzz, could have major ramifications that could scar him later in life. (ie. girls playing with/making fun of it, both literally or figuratively...)

Ha. "Peach fuzz". Those were the days...

Then I slowly started growing facial hair to having to avoid shaving. Long sideburns and goatee at 15 and a beard at 17. Haven't gone without some facial hair since then. I am 22.

19. 12 (full-time shaving) at 10 I started with a shaver.....
Me and this dude robert in school hit puberty early at the age of 8 . At the urinal when I was 9, all the kids made fun of me and called me "El Monstro" (The monster) cause I grew a large helping of genital hair. At 10, I started using an old shaver to get rid of my mustache and sprinkle of a beard. At 12 I had enough of beard that my mom got me an electric shaver. At 14 it stopped working and I have been with disposables ever since. Now, I have to shave everyday, my beard line starts under my eye and merges into my chest hair. hahaha
