I have four kids in my house
Only two of them are mine...the others are staying the night so their mom could go somewhere. Next weekend, she's watching my monsters so I can go to Austin for the Chris Bell kick off.

There is no silence!

2. Yeah, well, this is REAL fun
One visiting kid is ADHD/bipolar, the other is ADHD. Neither are on meds right now because they lost their Medicaid. Single mom makes $100 over the limit. I just got the meds for my kids refilled today, my son will be back on track tomorrow, but so far, I've had to restrain him twice. He and the female visitor do NOT get along.

5. OOh, the age at which the girl's giggles are painful,
and the only speaking volume they know is MAXIMUM.

7. I keep waiting for it.
For my daughter to develop that painfully high pitched laugh and LOUD ALL THE TIME voice, that is, and she hasn't. But she's only 10, maybe there's still time for my ears to bleed.

Then again, as a baby she hardly cried, so maybe it's just her personality.

I know exactly what you are talking about, btw. There was a gaggle of them behind me in line at a store recently and OUCH!!!

8. You've got it
My son is an Aspie, and he just gets louder and louder without realizing it. The girls hit octaves only dogs should be able to hear.

11. I have told both rooms that the next room that I hear all the way in the
living room will have the door closed. One kid in each room is scared of the dark. The talking is down to a dull whisper now.

14. They were all asleep by 1 AM
Now, my son is the only one up (he's always an early riser), the other three are still sleeping.
