Your Favorite Movie(s) so Far This Year ?
I've only seen 4, so I'll list them in the order of my "most bestest favorite":

1. Wedding Crashers
2. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
3. Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
4. War of the Worlds

If there's enough responses, maybe I'll do a Poll !

7. Missed Batman :(
Probably other good ones too.

I'm a diehard Gene Wilder Willie Wonka fan, still am, but also of Johnny Depp's Willie too!

10. I liked Wilder and Depp both...
Two very different takes on Wonka, but both brilliant in their own right.

Gene was slightly sinister, whereas Depp was just misanthropic (and oddly that's the first opportunity I had to use that word in a real sentence.).

14. I was prepared to hate the Depp version of Willie,
but was pleasantly surprised ! Also, Tim Burton and Danny Elfman never disappoint me either :)

18. Must have missed that one.....
never heard of it ?

Of course I'm in an area that the Wedding Crashers are being Swift Boated and RW Fundie boycotted.

11. Do you rent movies...?
My Top Four are all vid/dvd worthy too :)

I love special effects on big screens, but did almost break a rib laughing so hard at Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn's Wedding Crashers!

5. Revenge of the Sith, Batman Begins, War of the Worlds
Thankfully, Revenge of the Sith took me back to what watching a Star Wars movie was all about!

25. It's only in 4 theaters in NY and LA now, but will be opening wider
on August 13 and into September. What part of the country do you live in? If you go to their website, www.thearistocrats.com, they have a theater listing.

And, worse case scenario, the DVD is going to kick ass!!

And here's an interesting review from a "Christian" critic — although he condemns the film for it's vulgarity, I can't help but think he really enjoyed it!

(Review was originally linked from http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/aristocrats/
I don't generally hang out around Christian film critics)

16. My three favorites so far:
1. Kung Fu Hustle
2. Me and You and Everyone We Know (it's an interesting, quirky, funny indie film)
3. March of the Penquins

Batman Begins would be #4.
