Results of the Fun Test on Observation
Thanks for participating. I hope you all had fun. Here are the results out of a possible score of 0 to 26:

Sum of Scores 575

Nos. Observations 33
Mean Average 17.4
Median 17.0
Range:
lowest 11.0
highest 24.0
Quartiles:
1st 25% 11 to 15
2nd 25% 15 to 17
3rd 25% 17 to 20
4th 25% 21 to 24

Here is the DU link to the test and the direct responses from 29 DUers. I also included my score and the scores of my daughter, my son and a friend. As you recall, the average for the country is 7.0, so as a group we did awesome! Thanks for playing.

1. sob!
I'm in the lowest 25%! Sure, it was a score of 15, but......:(

Oh well. I'm very myopic, so that's my excuse-its hard enough for me to see anything much less have a good visual memory of it.

2. well you don't know that because there were several 15's and
...the quartiles are based on rank orders of scores so you could also be in the 2nd quartile of this sub-group of DUers which took the test. Besides, this was a test for fun and the scores are really not that important. The test supposedly measures our observation and retention of common things and trivial events which are going on constantly around us.

However, the test is an indicator (not fully, but a fairly good indicator) of general traits of character of DUers who chose to participate. By taking the test, following the directions, posting your score, it shows that Duers as a group display positive character traits that include: willingness, honesty, trust, perseverance, open mindedness, community and humility, just to name some.

That's what I like most about DU. Thanks for sharing.

4. P.S. can anyone tell me how to message the participants
....to the original thread, so that they can be notified to get the results here? I'm looking for an easy or mass send way of doing that, say from the other thread.
