celeb right winged whackos
Depending on the performer, I often find myself not bothering with their TV or film projects, but it's sometimes not possible to do that. I do, however, like to know who the "enemy" is. So here's the start of a good sized list of celeb right wingers. Please feel free to debunk any and please--feel completely at ease to add any more you can think of.

Tom Selleck
Charlton Heston
Bruce Willis
Gerald McRaney
Arnold
Dennis Miller
Delta Burke
Rick Schroder
Shannen Doherty
Mel Gibson
James Woods
Patricia Heaton
Andy Garcia
Gary Sinise
Chuck Norris
LL Cool J
Freddie Prinze Jr.
Sarah Michelle Gellar
Denzel Washington
Robert Duvall
Catherine Bell
Danny Aiello
Ron Silver
Kelsey Grammer
Morgan Brittany
Ben Stein
Pat Boone
Kathy Ireland
Bo Derek

1. Other than Denzel Washington, there's no one on that list that I'd miss
if I never saw them again. And Denzel isn't gonna be missed that much either.

3. I don't think Denzel is one.
People think he is because of one of those bogus e-mails going around.

6. Good. I was sort of shocked to see his name on the list but anymore
who knows? Well, that's good. I don't have to boycott Denzel. The rest are no problem, I didn't like many of them anyway.

Funny thing is I loved Everybody Loves Raymond. All except for Patricia Heaton. She struck me as being such a shrill harpy. Now I see she wasn't acting, it's natural.

11. And they've got Robert Duvall on there cause he once gave to John McCain
Looks like that's pretty much a wingnut site. Like they're desperate to have any public figure they can on their side, no matter how minimal their sympathies. They have Adam Sandler on there cause he sent a message to the troops saying I hope you're doing alright.

I wrote a letter to the troops once, does that make me a republican, of course not.

28. Pat Tilman was a real Patriot, not like the chickenhawks running the show.
No matter what his political persuasion was.

By the way, if my sources are correct, he was an Atheist too. Just goes to show that religiosity is not an index of morality or ethics.

34. He really was a great guy
Yep I agree, I just was saying as I am sure you know its bs to infer hes a right winger because of his enlistment, he was a hell of a guy, its such a tragedy that he died. You know his type is so rare these days in sports, back in the 40's, you had guys like Ted Williams, Bob Feller, Warren Spahn all in the service, and many others.

22. Fleetwood Mac goes out of their way to be non-political
I remember reading about a recent song, and they claimed it had no political meaning whatsoever, and that the band has chosen to not politicize publicly.

A lot of this list consists of some serious reaching.

13. some of the names on this list are questionable
Denzel Washington made some comment about how he hopes to be seen as having won the oscar because he is a good actor rather than as the black guy who won an oscar. and bunch of right wing shit heads used that to claim there is no need for affirmative action and other non sense and that Denzel was a republican.

the same thing with SMG. all based on some comment she made.

hard to believe Gary Sinise is a right winger. LL Cool J supported Pataki but he supported Kerry also. and Pataki isn't exactly a right winger.

some like Kelsey Grammer, Robert Duvall and Bruce Willis are republicans but not right wingers. in fact they can be liberal on some issues.

14. A lot of the links don't prove political affiliation.
Many of those listed as RWers are quoted as "supporting the troops" in some fashion, and that somehow translates to being a Republican.

By that logic, Al Franken would be a Republican because of all his USO tours.

15. Gary Sinise and Mel Gibson?
Mel has made no bones about his dislike for the current Republican administration. I don't know if he's a liberal, but I, at least, was under the impression that he was not a solid conservative even if his dad is Opus Dei or he was allegedly a Christian.

Gary Sinise? Okay, I don't know any better, but any actor who made his name on acting out Steinbeck roles, well, it makes me hope for something better for them.

And he tours Iraq....

If that's the case, then Al Frankens a right winger as well...

Patricia HEaton...

I knew her vaguely high school. Her dad was a big time sports writer for the Cleveland Pd. She went to high school onecity over from us...

She sang in her Choir, I sang in mine. We would all get together for combined cocnert. And I met her only because someone said, hey, that's chuck Heatons daughter....

31. i had to take a smoke break between pages,
it was so funny. i wonder if that 'chris' guy really existed, or if the u.w. was writing the emails himself.

i first heard about him from wrestlecrap.com - don't know if you've been there, but they have catalogued nearly every lunatic thing he has done, from broadcasting the 'warrior signal' into the rafters of the wcw arena, legally changing his name to ultimate warrior, to having an ultimate warrior comic book where he does some kinda BDSM on santa claus.

he's right up there with phelps (no pun intended)

21. Some of this is a little bogus
Statements taken out of context, stuff like that. Sure there are some right wing psycho celebs. But most of them, just like us, have various opinions on different issues.

Cons paint us with a broad brush as tofu-eating, tree-hugging, gay marrying, sex crazed druggie commies. It's ugly. We shouldn't play that game. We're better than that.

Khash.

Some of those names don't have a "see-why" link next to them, and others link to pages that either aren't there or that barely back up their claim.
