But I just found out one of my daughter's friends is making the big time...she is touring with the Backstreet Boys.
Nice girl...nice family. They are promoting the crap out of her. A cool success story.

4. I was relieved to find that she wasn't half nekkid

in her video. I watched this kid play ball for several years and I'd hate to see her disrespect herself that way, only to position herself as a sex object. She has talent...that sells, she doesn't have to sell sex too.

That's really cool, how old is she? I hope she's mature enough to keep it all together and all. I always hate seeing kids start out too young and just flame out or have other troubles. Well, if she's got a good family that's a big plus for her.

11. She is 17

This is her senior year of High School, however, not sure of what her plans are.
It's gonna be cool to see her emerge on the music scene.
They are really pouring the bucks into her for marketing--she has a good label--touring with Backstreet Boys.
They see the potential.
Gotta give the kid kudos. In our climate today, I see so few personal successes, it is very refreshing to see one, and very refreshing to see one that you know.

She's more like Branch or Carlton than anything. At least, that's how she appears to me.

8. Not a good comparison

Would you really wanna compare a person to Britney? Apart from the record sales being in the tank and nobody going to her concerts anymore, she obviously ain't bright. Remember what she said about the Shrub:

The song was actually kind of good. That's not usually my favorite style of music, but I think I like that song.
