5. Oh yea....
Before ABC bought the Family Channel from Pat Robertson, they had rights to Blazzing Saddles....

I remmeber watching it one saturday morning and they had cut out the Fart scene....

Okay, I guess...

But they left in the Sheriff and N*****R skit....

Now that got me to scrathin my head....

What do these fuckers think is truly obscene......

Then you see how really true-to-life it is. Parker Posey is brilliant in Guffman.

37. Yes. And he owes something to Dick Van Dyke or at least,
has the same facility to play his face and body like a violin.

We are addicts of both here. And I'm withholding from Mr. sfexpat the fact that Mr. Kelvin Mace has for sale the complete episodes of "Fawlty Towers".

9. Raising Arizona, The Jerk
I've always thought Mel Brooks' music video for Springtime for Hitler was better than the movie.

Then there's Monty Python's The Meaning of Life...

and a whole host of others.

Khash.

10. Blazing Saddles.
Only Mel Brooks could pack so many tasteless and politically-incorrect jokes into one film and get away with it.

I was considering saying Caddyshack or Stripes, but in the end, I couldn't stay away from Blazing Saddles.

26. Lots of kinds of funny.
High Anxiety "Here's your paper!"

Ghostbusters "The nice lady, who paid us in advance, before she turned into a dog."

The Milagro Beanfield War "You can't buy bullets with food stamps, Papi."

Crimes of the Heart "He was FIFTEEN!" "Oh, he's taller now."

42. I, too, agree with Blazing Saddles,
The Producers and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. However, to that mix I would also add A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, for one, and Ruthless People. I also enjoy Johnny Dangerously, but a lot of people hate that one. I'm a Michael Keaton fan, though.

44. Another Mel Brooks devotee here
My personal favorite is History of the World Part I. So many hilarious quotes in that film!

I laughed so hard that tears were streaming down my face the first time I saw this movie - just collapsed laughing when the plumbing salesman was plying his wares in the Roman outdoor market: "It's amazing! It's astounding! Get on the bandwagon - pipe the SHIT right out of your house!"
