I find that I have a hard time remembering names. People I run into now and then but can't remember their names, even though I've heard their name a hundred times. T.V. shows I've watched for years, but couldn't tell you most of the characters names. Birthdays, anniversaries, and phone numbers I will remember though. No problem. Do we have a certain gift for remembering some things, but not others.

person when I can't remember someone's name. It's like I don't care enough about them to remember their name---but I do care.

They're all programmed in, so I never have to remember the numbers to dial.

But I can tell you what a person was wearing, what they said, and more.

Names don't tell you much about a person, is it so suprising they are hard to remember?
