Bonobos

Bonobos were discovered in 1928, by American anatomist Harold Coolidge, represented by a skull in the Tervuren museum in Belgium that had been thought to be a juvenile chimpanzee's, though credit for the discovery went to the German Ernst Schwarz, who published the findings in 1929. They are distinguished by an upright gait, a matriarchal and egalitarian culture, <snip>

I googled those capybaras rodents - seem like interesting, though large, rodents. I saw how the Catholic Church classified them as fish! :D

Did you happen to notice how bonobos handled conflict? I think we humans need to be more bonobo-ish in our conflict resolution.

As I said, though I've not been posting much, I've been reading almost daily. I saw the whole ugly mess go on.

And so, out of the bad, there was some good - some of the great people got to meet each other. I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but I think he'd be happy about that part.

So, I noticed a post of yours a couple of days or so ago - did you ever get your fence fixed?

I still haven't re-grouted the tile or fixed the fence so the dog can't go over. I just fattened up the dog. Now he can't jump so high.
