5. I am an employment screener providing service to

a major teaching hospital, but I actually work for a non-profit organization that contracts with the state. I look at applications and resumes all day, and call applicants for clarification. I like to give people pointers when I think they can improve their applications, so they have their best shot at getting a call-back.

I joined the activist corps because I think it's a terrific idea, and I already participate in a lot of things on my own and with our Houston DU contingent. So, it seemed a natural step to join up when the call went out! :patriot:

but I am not taking classes right now, and I already try to fit in some causes each month, so I figured it would coincide with what I already do.

I agree, though, it's worse to sign up and then neglect something. It drives me batty when I try to organize something and people do that to me! :wtf:
