What's your soul beer?
You know...what beer would you sell your soul to have, if you were stranded on a deserted island...say, Greenland or Ireland.:P

third would be Rogue's Brutal Bitter (that would be #1, but it takes me a day or two to recover!)

17. Sam Adams makes a Chocolate Bock that's pretty good
Samuel Adams® partnered with Scharffen Berger Chocolate to develop their newest innovation, Samuel Adams® Chocolate Bock. Tettnang Tettnanger and Spalt hops were hand-selected from the world's oldest growing area and combined with a complex selection of malts including two row Pale, Munich and caramel to create a rich and satisfying brew. This dark beer has a big, malty character that is combined with the subtle sweetness of chocolate. The chocolatiers at Scharffen Berger crafted an exclusive blend of chocolate for Samuel Adams® made with cocoa beans from Ghana called forastero. Samuel Adams® Chocolate Bock was aged on a bed of this chocolate to create its unique layers of flavor. As the beer matured, the fruity, tart, earthy and chocolate aromas were infused into the liquid to give the brew a complex, full-bodied taste with a velvety finish. A hint of vanilla was added to meld the symphony of flavors together.

18. Any good ale from England in an English pub -
It always tastes so good, but I find it loses something when carried across the herring pond to us here in the U.S. - never tastes the same.

My favorite beer here in the U.S. however, hands down, is Magic Hat No. 9! It has a definite peach taste, which you might think wouldn't work in beer, but in fact, it works out just wonderfully!

but I rather go back there and drink it "in person".

If its not a personal question, have you lived in Austin for awhile? I lived there from '93 to '97, and I have been told that the late 90's, post-"Slacker" period were the salad days of Austin. I have heard stories that Austin isn't nearly as cool now as it was then.

I was thinking of a cold Bass on a warm day.

Perhaps a warm island with an artesian spring that'd keep the beer cold (yes, I know there are no artesian springs in the middle of the ocean...this island would have to be pretty close to a bigger land mass).
