14. Eggs-actly, man!
Some people just get off on tearing down certain standards just for the sake of being a contrarian, unique and different. Sure, it's okay not to like a "classic" that has been placed in the canon but it is something entirely different to lambast it as "shit," to do so is to challenge its merits as an artistic product rather than simply expressing your lack of preference for it. If you are to challenge a classic's artistic merits, you are free to do so but it is an awfully daunting charge and should therefore be backed by a pretty steel-lined argument.

Seriously, you're a good writer. You should do it for a living if you don't already.

I was "there" and it was, sadly, more fun than "here".

6. Jeepers
I always kind of liked it. I guess I like mindless repetition.

Now, the Maynard Ferguson cover of Hey Jude, I can agree that that is shit. (shiver)

You must admit, though, one DOES get the point about four minutes before the song finally ends.

10. A music friend told me that Paul McCartney wrote this song
about John Lennon's first son Julian which he pretty much ignored. Supposedly it was titled "Hey Jules".

11. That's only the end of the song.
I know, it's the only part McCartney played at Live 8.

Don't like it? Get your own decade.

Jude was used instead of julian.
Hey Jude, don't be afraid,
take a sad song
and make it better.

And any time you feel the pain...
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders.
Na na na na
na na na na
Hey Jude...

Once you know the context, maybe it doesn't suck so much huh?

24. Extremely correct thinking!
The Moody Blues never should have conceded London as the staging ground for the battle of England. Then they would have been royally supported and the rest would be history of a better nature and Lennon would not be so popular and maybe even still alive...
