Coquettes bitch slap you... so polite...
SEXX LAWS

Can't you hear those cavalry drums
Hijacking your equilibrium
Midnight hags in the mausoleum
Where the pixilated doctors moan
Carnivores in the Kowloon night
Breathing freon by the candlelight
Coquettes bitch slap you so polite
Till you thank them
For the tea and sympathy

I want to defy
The logic of all sex laws
Let the handcuffs slip off your wrists
I'll let you be my chaperone
At the halfway home
I'm a full grown man
But I'm not afraid to cry

Neptune's lips taste like fermented wine
Perfumed blokes on the Ginza line
Running buck wild like a concubine
Who's mother never held her hand
Brief encounters in Mercedes Benz
Wearing hepatitis contact lens
Bed and breakfast getaway weekends
With Sports Illustrated moms

I want to defy
The logic of all sex laws
Let the handcuffs slip off your wrists
I'll let you be my chaperone
At the halfway home
I'm a full grown man
But I'm not afraid to cry

1. It's funny...
I haven't liked either of his last albums. That one was so awesome. Hard to top that one, "Mutations" and "Odelay".

2. Hate to disagree with a fellow dem...
Sea Change is magnificent for anyone who has ever had the misfortune to fall in love with an addict. So poignant, every song is perfect combination of beauty and sadness. I encourage you to listen to the entire album.

"Lonesome Tears" ALWAYS make me cry!

His latest Guero, Beck finally emerges from his depression a bit more jaded and well I think its great. Again the whole album needs to be listened to. Many comments on modern world woven into brilliant poetry. To me Beck is every bit the poet of Bob Dylan.

I esp like the songs "Girl" "Black Tamborine" "Missing" on Guero

Lonesome Tears Lyrics
Beck
Sea Change
Lonesome tears
I can't cry them anymore
I can't think of what they're for
Oh they ruin me every time
But I'll try
To leave behind some days
These tears just can't erase
I don’t need them anymore

How could this love
Ever turning
Never turn its eye on me
How could this love
Ever changing
Never change the way I feel

Lazy sun
Your eyes catch the light
With promises that might
Come true for awhile
Oh I'll ride
Farther than I should
Harder than I could
Just to meet you there

How could this love
Ever turning
Never turn its eye on me
How could this love
Ever changing
Never change the way I feel
