Until then, I'll be playing on DU. After then, I'll be reading, reading, reading. :)

2. I'm going down to the Jersey shore
to watch a band play at this outside bar. I tell myself that I'm not going to drink too much today, but I will. Then I will stumble to a nearby restaurant and have a chicken cheesesteak, finally I will fall asleep in the car on the way home...good thing I'm not driving, eh? lol

Those damn chippies!! My mom and step-dad had a hard time with them last year. They kept getting into their garden so they shot them with a BB gun.

11. Cleaning house
So far, I've loaded and started the dishwasher, scooped two cat boxes, and directed children. The children have each brought out the dirty clothes they've been saving in their rooms so that I can wash them, and picked up their rooms for vacuuming. One has finished vacuuming, the other is about to start.

24. As little as possible
It's my day off and I have to work tomorrow which will be a busy day so today is a day of relaxation for the most part. Hopefully it won't be as hot as it's been lately and I'll be able to park outside on a deck chair with a good book (no, NOT Harry Potter!) and just chill.

29. Started cleaning out my brother's condo
he died 2 weeks ago and it's time to start taking care of his "stuff". Loads of tools, bicycles and their accoutrements, and of all things--------Harry Potter. I had no idea he liked HP. Oh, and this was after putting $500+ into brake work for my van. Time for some nice comfort food. sigh

30. Reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
And after this post, I'm going to read more.

Earlier, I listened to some music (before the book came) -

The Clash - London Calling

samples from:

Laura Cantrell - Humming By the Flowered Vine (might be uneven, but worth purchasing if I get the money)

I got other CDs from Tuuli (love them), and Annie (also very good), but I was listening to them yesterday.

35. Speaking of Tuuli
Edited on Sun Jul-17-05 10:30 PM by mvd
I saw that 2 members, Dawn and Jen, are now part of the band The Flairs. I didn't think the 4 Flairs songs I heard were nearly as good as what Tuuli has to offer. Tuuli's Here We Go is a power-pop gem. Perhaps Dawn Mandarino needs Jenny MacIsaac..

Today I searched home businesses and heard The Wallflowers - Rebel, Sweetheart. Rebel, Sweetheart has grown on me even more! And I read more Harry Potter.

33. Mmm, today has been so nice, and tomorrow will be also...
My daughter is visiting for a few days. Today she and I drove up to her sister's house for a little lunch/visit before her sister had to go to work. My daughter hadn't seen her sister's new home before, and we had a very good time!
Tomorrow, we all go back up and will have a barbeque with her whole family and our grandson, who my daughter hasn't seen since he was born (nearly three years!). It is so marvelous to see both my daughters together--I think to myself, my God, I bore these two, and now here they are as young women! It's remarkable...
