I'm playing an older one right now, called Divine Divinity. It's a Diablo-esque game that is highly quest oriented and has a huge world. There is lots of stuff to smoosh but it's not too horribly graphic. If you haven't played that yet, it is possible to find that game and it's sequel, Beyond Divinity, sold together. You could probably get it at GameStop for $20 since it's been around a while.
If The Bard's Tale has been released for the PC you could get that one. It looks like a funny and enjoyable game. As a matter of fact, I just looked and it WAS released on the 28th of June! Here's a link to it. Now I gotta get it for myself. :)
