This evening, I got a call from the LaRouchies.

Unbelievable. The LaRouchies are frigging nuts.

They wanted money. They said they got my name because I signed the Conyers petition.

I will never forgive the LaRouchies for messing up Adlai Stevenson III's gubernatorial run in Illinois. I told the guy that, too.

Has anyone else gotten calls from the LaRouchies?

He said he got MY name from signing the impeachment petition. What the guy said made "sense" in a whacked out conspiracy sort of way - that Larouche is the enemy of the Bushies and they put him in jail and it was his call for the smoking gun that led Joe Wilson to print his story. Only, of course, "conspiracy" isn't so crazy when you talking about the neocons, eth?

The really WEIRD part is - he kept bringing up stuff I was ACTIVELY RESEARCHING On the NET right now! Like the WHIG, etc.... I was looking for the oldest stuff I could find on the net Niger/Wilson, etc.........

Did you capture it on Caller ID?
Just curious...even with an unlisted number, THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR, I get several calls a day from numbers I don't recognize, and so, don't answer. I listen to my answering machine, but none of these callers ever leaves a message, but they keep calling back.

Anyway, as I said, am just curious re: number.

I ended up with a huge load of their pamphlets at a protest in DC one time. They try to make themselves sound more reasonable on the surface, like any cult, but once you start digging deeper....

I've noticed that we get the occasional LaRouche apologist from time-to-time on DU.
