3. OK, here goes...
Gaeda networked the navcomputer with some sort of Jump calculator, setting up - you guessed it - a network on Galactica. He set up a series of firewalls.

Apollo got a parole from Tigh because they needed every pilot available. He agreed to not speak of Roslin or spread any kind of dissension. And he FINALLY got to wash his hands (although they didn't show it).

Galactica jumped back to the Kobol system. The base star immediately attacked. There was a new type of Cylon ship. It had two Cylon raider "heads" with a larger body. That ship got past the vipers and crash-landed in the former museum. In the meantime, a raider attacked the network with a virus. The computations for Jump barely made it in ahead of a successful virus attack on Gaeda's multiple firewalls. They disconnected the network and re-isolated the computer. No infection.

Galactica jumped. The Colonial fleet was there.

Adama was still alive but unconscious, and we find out that he was the one who managed to get Tigh into the fleet, and Tigh's memory of it was that he was informed seconds before he was going to commit suicide. The bullets are out of Adama and he's critical but as I said still alive.

Last scene: the abandoned flight deck/museum - the new Cylon ship looked deactivated but you saw several of the metallic Cylon models emerging, so apparently it was some sort of Trojan horse ramming ship. Previews showed that there's going to be some sort of running firefight inside the Galactica.

I wonder why they boarded? The Cylons must still be planning on keeping humans alive. Otherwise, the Cylons could have set off a nuke with that ramming ship. Perhaps it's a rescue mission for Sharon? No telling.

5. If you're willing to stay up...

They will repeat the episode at 2am if your cable is fixed. I wish I could have done a better job with the synopsis, but it was rushed. Also - the Chief, Callie, and the third guy got the medkit but ran into hostile fire on the way back. The third guy was, unfortunately, a redshirt.

I'm afraid that I will be in the middle of the Harry Potter book.

2. Absolutely!!
You know, if this had been a Star Trek show - and I say this as someone who's seen every episode of every Star Trek show ever made - Adama would have been up and walking at the end of the episode.

This feels so much more real... that's why I think it's just a superior show!!

6. Yes it does
This show has outstanding writing. I am impressed! It never panders to the easy cliches.

7. There are so many things to enjoy about it.
Frankly, I love it that the Cylons are religious extremists. Also, having the good guys be polytheistic and the bad guys monotheistic is one of the most daring moves I've ever seen.

The characters are flawed - there are shades of gray. There were no alcoholics on the Starship Enterprise!! These are people instead of heroic archetypes, and they're doing the best they can, and it makes me pull for them that much harder.

The best thing, though, is that the episodes are less predictable than any sci-fi show I've ever seen.

8. They've got too many story lines going, and too many people
spread out on too many differant locations, and too many bad guys. Other than that, I really like this show.

9. My theory: Lt. Gaeta is a Cylon
Why?

1. Rewatching TiVo of the season finale, Gaeta greets Sharon before she shoots Adama. He hands her something and wispers something to her... IMHO, to trigger her "mission."

2. Gaeta was they guy who was in control of implicating or exonerating Baltar of treason based on the security photos of him at the defense mainframe on Caprica.

3. Gaeta seems to have a stash of Cylon transponders.

4. Gaeta controls Galactica's FTL jump coordinates according to the Cylon master plan... to Kobol, away from the fleet, back to the fleet, etc. Gaeta always puts the Galactica where the Cylons need it.

That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

12. Is this the definitive Galactica thread?
If so, should the mispelling be corrected in the title? For search purposes?

I'm asking because I have lots to say, and wondering if I should start a new thread.

13. My fingers don't cooperate
I have nerve damage in my right hand, which makes my fingers revolt from time to time.
It's too late to edit the original post, so start a new one if you want.
