4. All my current kitties came to me fully grown

3 strays...1 from kitty jail, so I missed that stage. Last kitten I had was Mariko and that was almost 19 years ago.

That's okay though...cats are great no matter what their age.

5. I just wish Quinn was as much of a lap-kitty as Althea . . . well

not really a lap kitty, but a real attention lover. She's only a lap kitty when she REALLY wants to be :).

Quinn barely tolerates human contact :) He'll purr, but he doesn't like you to do anything except scratch him right on top of the head, and then only when he's in the mood.

Oh god I'm jealous. I've got to make a trip to California to see my new niece. We were vacillating -- summer's getting packed, many trips planned, gotta squeeze in work, etc. But then -- "Oh, you've got a KITTEN? I'm going to book the tickets tonight!"

P.S. Quinn's kitten pic. is too adorable to stand!
