The DU Lounge is what separates the creative from the followers, DU is what the "other" sites follow, it's what they look up to.

Those other sites try their collective hands at humor, but it's just not the same. They don't have the background to play with that DU does, they don't have the experiences that DU has to play off.

When was the last time any of you reading this post was linked to an especially funny FreeRepublic or sitethatshallnotbenamed post for a good laugh?

Never? I thought so. THAT is the difference between liberals and conservatives. We find humor in plenty of things, conservatives on the other hand are so focused on their meaningless patriotic bullshit (the same kind of patriotic bullshit that true veterans like matcom and myself see as useless patriotic bullshit) they get caught up in sending money to China for Support the Troops stickers.
