Downloading music question
My co-worker just downloaded songs from Morpheus. Then he wanted to burn the songs onto a CD. He was having problems burning them and called someone who's an "expert" at it. That expert talked him through it but with no luck. Expert said co-worker's computer didn't have a CD burner.

I have no clue when it comes to shit like this.
Can you download a CD burner or do you need to buy the program?
His computer is a compaq laptop.
Any help would be great.

1. You need to get it IF you are sure
the computer dosen't have one. The CD drive on the computer should be able to burn cds; but if you don't have software to do so then it won't. How old is the computer?
Then try RecordNow.It is the shizznat.

Okay I am having trouble finding it; hang on...

2. Software needed
The last CD-RW I bought came with Nero. My new computer came with automatic software - - - if I put in a blank CD, a window pops up and asks me what I want to do, i.e., copy WP files, burn music, etc.

I also think players like Real Player and Windows Media Player provide assistance with burning songs to CDs.

7. maybe his cd drive
isnt a cd burner, not all of them are. best advice I could give is try it on another computer or get an external cd burner, they usually come with the software

9. my external cd burner came with nero
which I think you have to pay for if you get it seperately. you could find some cd burning freeware online, but if his cd drive isn't a burner than software will make no difference

11. This is what it sounds like to me
If you know Windows well enough you can go into the system properties and it should say whether it's a CD Rom drve or a CD-RW drive.
