Who do people say you look like?
I've had friends and random people I look like Alanis Morissette and the R. Crumb girls (I guess because of the girth of my hips and thighs). I've even had one person compare me to Quentin Tarantino because of my rapid rate of speaking and the way I use my hands when talking. (Hopefully, not that I look like him.) So, who do you look like?

34. oh, poor thing
although my Spanish usually gets better when I've been drinking-- but of course most of my Spanish usually has to do with drinking, partying, fiestas, music, etc.

I'm spoiled with the air. My old house has central air, but my new shoebox of an apt will not have any. I may have to buy a window unit if I get desperate enough, but I'll be paying rent for the new place plus half the bills on the house until the settlement :(.

Oh well, at least I have one partially-good kidney and 1/2 a good liver to sell if I need to :D

31. I just saw my look alike in very graphic PETA ad
IMHO I barely look like anybody in my family let alone outside of it. I vaguely resemble my brother. My little sister though could pass for my daughter and I have a cousin who looks like she could be by identical twin except she has straight hair but other than them I never though I looked like anyone.

The only famous person I've been told I look like is an actress named Persia White who is on Girlfriends on UPN. When I worked for a school I use to have problems because some of the students wanted to call me girlfriend due to it. I can see why people say but I don't think it's strong enough to warrant the reactions I've gotten. I just looked up her picture online and let's just say she really hates fur. I never liked it but I wasn't expecting to see that.

I sort of look like Duck Soup, but with the real 'stache. But, it's thicker and heavier than what he had on the show. So, i'm sort of stuck between Groucho's.

After his appearance on The Daily Show, one of my friends IMed me and said "Chris and I have decided that you look and act like Howard Dean". But I didn't want to say that because I'm trying to support the party.

But anyway, Howard Dean. And I'm not gonna post a picture.

That was when I had visible cheekbones and longer hair.

Now it's Kathy Bates. Also, there's some medical transcriptionist somewhere who looks like me, because when I go to the national conventions people I don't know come up and give me hugs and tell me how glad they are to see me. She's way more popular than I, and it depresses the hell out of me that it's not ME they're happy to see.

Someone once asked her how much money she was getting for the sequel to Die Hard, and she said "Well, between Bruce and I, we're getting just over eight million dollars." (Willis was getting $8 Million at the time -- may have the number off, but that's the gist of it.)

122. These days, Elvis
There's a reason for that, of course.

Previouly, he was the one I most often was supposedly reminiscent of, but there were a few others at various times (e.g. Paul McCartney, young Bruce Springsteen, and -- finally a largely nonmusical example -- Richard Gere). Apart from the Elvis thing, that is intentionally striking these days, I'm one of those people who gets asked disproportionately often "where do I know you from?" The weird part is that I've never seen anyone who looked just like me, but the resemblance to one or two doppelgangers has been sufficient to fool one dude's girlfriend and several others similarly close to my double(s). I've also been in strife thanks to thoughtless actions on the part of at least one of my lookalikes, darn it.

158. Just last night one of my students told me
that I look and sound like Gary Sinise. I hear he's a Republican, so I guess I should be insulted. I asked her if it was a compliment or an insult, and she said "compliment."

Even if he is a Republican, he's still sexy. :)

169. Gary Sinise is hot.
Although his hotness factor will drop with me if he's a Republican ('cause it's not just about looks - damn, Gary, you disappoint me!).

Yeah, it's a compliment!

174. Thanks for Gary and for me, I guess.
I think he's okay as far as looks go, but he doesn't turn my head by any means. I agree about the politics part. One time I stopped dating a guy when I found out he was anti-choice.

167. I liked her in that too - I could even see the resemblance
Edited on Fri Jul-15-05 12:46 PM by tenshi816
once upon a time when I was in my teens and early 20s. We both have a strong jawline and auburn hair. The resemblance isn't there anymore (other than the hair), but I used to hear it a lot. We just aged differently - this was me last summer, for instance:

So, as you can see, there's no resemblance at all now. When I was about 18, I looked a lot more like the "Bye-Bye Birdie" Ann-Margret (all my old family photos are back in the States or I'd stick one up here).

Wish I still did look like her!

Edited to say: Back in the 80s, I was occasionally told I looked like Belinda Carlisle when she was in the Go-Go's, but other than high cheekbones I can't see that one at all.

Edited also to change a couple words.

180. 10 years ago they said I looked like Jack in Tekken

I never got as muscular as him though, but I used to be in really good shape (when I was in the Marines). The resemblance was in the face.

Now, my co-workers say I look just like that white guy who was on American Idol....I had to google him because I've never watched the show. I think his name is Scott Savol.

I'm not as big as him (yet). I guess I'm somewhere in between now.
