1. I am a giant Widespread fan.
I have not seen them since McConnell joined the band. They played a double set at jazzfest this year, but I was there the prior weekend.

Widespread plays some of their best shows in New Orleans. We adopted that band years and years ago. They thrive in the free flowing musical environment of the Big Easy.

He is not Mikey (there will NEVER be another Mikey) but George does a great job.

5. Not a HUGE fan
but we saw them last year and they were pretty good. Of course, I'm old and prefer the Allmans in the "jam band" mode. Still, Widespread Panic is sooooo much better than some of what passes for music today. Too bad they don't get more airplay.
