I just found out Massachusetts has a State Holiday called....
Evacuation Day.

:wtf:

Now, if that doesn't sound like a gold-mine for the local enema clinic, I can't imagine what does!

btw, it's a "floating holiday", for full-time state employees, typically "celebrated" in Suffolk County, but apparently the rest of the state agencies like to use it too

5. Suffolk County also has Bunker Hill Day June 17
My sister's ex-husband's birthday is June 17 and he worked in the county, so for years he got his birthday off, with pay. Lucky stinker.
