I think I know what I'm getting someone for Christmas.
My friends with the twins sent me this picture.

I think I'll print it on really nice photo paper and get it matted and framed.

4. Yeah,
I'm just not very good at mats and frames, so I think I'll have my artsy-fartsy friend (I mean that in a nice way) help me.

Isn't that cool? The mom loves photography and just happened to catch him reaching out to her hand.

10. One month.
:-)

The new parents are, of course, exhausted. She never wears anything but mu-mus and he hasn't shaved in....forever. But they're over the moon, these were very long-awaited children.

5. Black and white might look nice as well...
I'd definitely get it done in b/w, IMHO it makes it more "sentimental"...great idea!

8. I agree. Going black and white will also make up for the washed out
and bastardized color in the photo.

Context is everything.

15. It's obvious the color is off because of lighting type and amount.

I'm tired, and "bastardized" was the only adjective I could come up with.

What's "bastardized color???"

I can change the contrast to fix any washed out-edness.

17. See my other post.
It just looks like flourescent lighting, and bad flourescent lighting, and a digital camera that couldn't handle the lighting (or possibly just isn't set up properly to handle the lighting properly), so the color is off.

18. Gotcha, thanks!
Just wondering what it meant.

I'm going to tone it down when I edit it and play with the contrast, look at B&W, etc.

6. I think you should get them a pair of handcuffs
The kind of handcuffs that the Joker might make, that never loosen.

;-)

Seriously, though, i think printing and getting it framed is an AWESOME idea. That's a GREAT photograph.

I think I would even crop it to focus solely on the hands.

If you don't want ot do that, you absoluitely have to crop it enough to get rid of that little bit of junk (looks like maybe just a hint of the baby's left leg?) down in the lower right hand corner.

9. I am so glad you said that.
I am NOT artistic at all and I didn't even SEE that.

I've imported it into my photo editing thingie and am going to play with cropping, black and white, etc. Thanks for pointing that out, gotta get rid of that.

12. Those baby wrists are ripe for handcuffs.
Cuff them together so they won't be so bothersome.

Get 'em a pair of handcuffs.

B-)

20. Some people mentioned B&W
but I like the color, because it shows the little girl's pink baby outfit and the boy's blue outfit. I think keeping that in there would be better, because it distinguishes the two babies from each other and even the kids can appreciate that when they're older.

Too precious. :)
