18. They are Thylacines or as they are sometimes called Tasmanian

Wolves or Tigers. They are neither cat nor dog but actually marsupials. SO that would make them cousins to Tamsmanian Devils, Possums, Koalas, Kagaroos, etc. They are officialy extinct since 1936 when the last one died in a Tasmanian zoo but every year there are a handful of sightings of them from the remotes parts of Australia and Tasmania so there is a little hope that they are still with us.

23. I have been recounting the story of the Thylacine a lot in the past week

and a half. I found this picture and decided to adopt them as my mascots here last week. Since then I have gotten a couple dozen compliments or questions about what they are. I am quite happy to find so many who either know about them or just from the picture seem interested in them. Especially if it turns out that they are still alive or they clone them (in the works). If DUers are that intrested or know about them then maybe the rest of the world is and we can see them back into the world.
