Mother, Daughter Burned When Head Lice Solution Catches Fire

LANSING, Mich. -- A Michigan mother and daughter are hospitalized in critical condition after a homemade head lice solution for the girl caught fire.

The Lansing State Journal says both suffered severe burns. Police say the four-year-old girl had burns to 60 percent of her body.

Another child in the house escaped injury. No word on what type of liquid the mother was using.

I'm prety sure what ever they used homemade would contain kerosene.

Olive oil is a safer method but can still catch fire easily...

4. when i was a kid someone told my mom to use kerosene

but she got it wrong and used benzene. boy did that burn. my uncle came over and poured milk on my head.
