13. I think my original is too tall vertically.

When I upload her as an avatar, she ends up squished vertically. Would you be able to crop her from the bottom a bit? :)

(I need to get a program like Photoshop to do that, I think.)

9. In order to use an avatar in DU, the avator must be no larger than

48 x 48 . . . all of those are LARGER and thus will be rejected if used as a DU avatar . . .

but I think she needs to be cropped from the bottom, since her picture seems to be squished vertically.

looks about right, a tad smaller than you need, but proportionally it looks ok.

15. Here's a copy in proportion and at max size (2.75kb)

I cropped the bottom off to square it up and renamed the file so it will change the image in your profile



DU stretches the JPG to 48X48, even if it's a rectangle.
