Thanks!

1. I'm afraid I'm not feeling very entertaining tonight.
I think I need to put some happier music on.

Loose ends? Procrastinating? That sounds familiar.

27. okay, here (dial up warning)
me in my new chair, a couple of weeks ago

the litter of kittens born in our basement on 9/11/01

a flock of fun and demanding birds in North Carolina's Outer Banks (ferry to Ocracoke) (yes, they ate from my fingers on the wing)

some of the local wildlife

the crew at the coffee house where I moonlighted back home

Tortie, one of our feral colony (note the tipped left ear, if you can see it)

my eldest nephew, 1987 (his hair is now way longer than mine was in that photo -- but he's cutting it off as soon as he can find a buyer)

Daddy, Guardian of the Waldorf Cat Haven

and last but not least, Petey schools Skittles

Hope this helps in your procrastination!

33. one of the best times I ever had
was cutting a disc with my old Rythym and Blues band in a home studio near Annapolis for several days. We got drunk and played like maniacs, cutting almost everything live.
Playing around with stuff to get the best sounds was amazing. I wish I had a studio where I could expeirement

I have been into the Studio before---I even recorded with my old band in the best Studio in Maryland---Omega Studios in Rockville.

I miss studio sessions almost as much as live playing

34. It's cozy, but functional.
16 track digital. The entire thing is about the size of a small suitcase. But, you know, there's a keyboard and a few guitars lying around within arms reach at all times.

I just ordered a new set of monitors today and I'm going to rearrange things when they get here. But I usually do a little work in the studio every night.

36. you are a very lucky man
a sixteen track is pretty good. Do you have the computer drum program to set up your own beats?

I used to have the home studio recording thing for my computer, but lost it and my old computer in a fire.

38. I have a couple of ways to program drums.
What I usually do is create my own by triggering the drum sounds with the keyboard.

But the 16tk has a bank of stereo drum patterns that don't count towards the 16 tracks. So it's really drums + 16 tracks.

The whole thing only cost about $1K. It's rudimentary but has lot's of storage space.

I used to have Cakewalk on my computer..........but it's more fun using proprietary gear I think.

54. I was born on a full moon in 1729
The land was all ploughed that year, yet nothing was planted.

They say we lived off chimney scrapings and dirt bomb remnants. There was little reported, so verification becomes difficult.

Last night, I had the most delightful dessert - the "cookies and cream" ice cream, from a syndicated grocer's dairly case.

The cat is dying, so we're trying to enjoy her company as much as we can. We do that, we accrue interest, we reinvest dividends, we allocate assets. We gloat about particularly satisfying bowel movements in hard-assed text-based corners. I am only here for a short while. I am a camera. I love you.
