Cat with drinking problem

Socrates has decided that if Caesar gets special treatment and is allowed to drink out of my faucet in the master bathroom, so does he. Sigh.

:D

2. After all, since the kitty's name is Caesar
His Meowjesty is entitled to do whatever he damn well pleases--you're just a slave!

3. Yeah, but SO-crates is not king...
aw, what's the use. Dogs have owners, cats have staff.

Caesar has noticed that Socrates drinks from the faucet now, and it frosts him no end. On top of that, Plato has been ogling the faucet the last few days. I'm doomed. :D

P.S. "His Meowjesty"...good one! I like! :hi:

4. Get a pet fountain!
I swear it works. Chaucer was the same way about only wanting running water. I got him a pet fountain and he loves it. Sometimes he plays in it, but mostly he just drinks a lot of water which is a good thing for boy kitties to do!

I highly recommend this one:

they are easy to clean and work well. The only suggestion i do have is used bottled water if you live in an area like mine with really high mineral content in the water. That can mess up the pump really fast.

5. Got one!
They drink out of it, and the toilets, and (obviously) the faucet. They're on their third kitty fountain, actually. Thanks for the suggestion, though! :hi:

23. I feel ya.
(is that the proper use of the current vernacular?)

We have one too, but Richard insists on having the tap turned on whenever anyone goes into the bathroom. Or even into the bedroom. Or stands or walks. :eyes: He's got us trained.

7. Oops must drink this way too
He went through a real tough time when we remodeled the bathroom and removed his old, familiar sink. Cats being what they are about the familiar, he was completely freaked out about the new one and refused to drink out of it for a couple of weeks (he used the birdbath outside instead - that's his outdoor drinking spot).

So the hubby and I looked like a couple of complete fools cooing and cajoling him and trying to get him to use the damn thing. He's back to normal now and will imperiously drag us in there several times a day to take care of his highness.

15. At least Socrates waits for Caesar to be done now
That took a couple of weeks. Caesar is 13 and a half and getting really grouchy in his years, so he didn't appreciate getting nudged out of the sink all the time. Mom and Dad had to intervene. :D

17. When Plato was really small, he used to swim in the potty
That's how he got the nickname Aquatread :D. He can't be disciplined with the spray bottle: the wetter he gets, the happier he is. It's weird.

12. Only one of my three is a water lover
Scribbles is in the sink when I brush my teeth...I have to pus her out of the way to spit. She puts toys in the water dish, and plays in the shower after I'm done.
