As for the Mac crowd, go look up how much a GOOD Mac (avoid the $800 POSes) cost and tally that with how much you get. A nice OS, maybe, but technology-per-dollar, Macs are waaaaaaaaaaaaay overpriced and are not worth the time or money. A good Mac that's comparable to a P4 2.6GHz computer costs much more than $1000, try $1800 or more... But what do I know, I get away with using Athlon processors and save $300 more per machine and have had NO stability or other problems.
And Linux is the way to go.
Why?
Because, if the sheeple wake up and want to ditch Micro$oft, they will either have to buy new $1800 computers + the cost of new apps to get something worthwhile in a Mac (again, the $1000 models are not that powerful and their use of colorful cases only adds to the insult), or get Linux which will work on their existing hardware for no cost in most cases (though new apps would have to be purchased...). Linux is so simple, even I can use it! Switching to Linux is, vastly, the more cost effective solution.
And considering how much they cost, I'm amazed Apple ditched SCSI components; which is what they used to use... (SCSI is generally better than IDE, but that's another story...)
