13. Now, answer me this:
Does reading something like that in any way enhance your life?

Why bother?

Although that one did spell and use "appeasing" correctly. Quite impressive.

8. They are just babbling on about
how the media is forcing us to forget about 9-11. They are saying that the media is doing this because it is a stain on American history. Oh please, just today * mentioned 9-11. It is part of the talking points. They are nuts.

3. They're correct...
...we shouldn't forget 9/11.

But they're ranting about Iraq. What does Iraq have to do with it?

And just exactly who has forgotten about Osama bin Laden? The administration, it seems.

And, no, Freepers, 9/11 doesn't justify torture.

5. Ok, hands up, everyone here who hasn't heard of 9/11
Edited on Sat Jun-18-05 06:02 PM by Heaven and Earth
clearly, the no-good liberal media haven't reported on it at all. (/sarcasm)

(Their thread is about how the media haven't been repeatedly showing the images of 9/11, and therefore, we all have somehow forgotten about it, and its the media's fault)

9. 911 is being ignored by the people, blocked by the media
at least this is what I think they are saying from my brief foray into there. Other war and attack dates are memoralized, 9-11 isn't, you can't find images or movies or news coverage of it anymore.

I think. Did I miss something there Zuni?

14. The truth is
the events of 9-11 have virtually no meaningful place in my day-to-day life. It happened, but what followed - the ugly distortion by these ratbastards in the White House - has huge significance.

9-11 was historic, but that's about it. Sort of like Pearl Harbor.

but pearl harbor?

more like the incident that created the Enabling Act

I know ,

we are no longer able to speak within that metaphor of history.

20. Why, why, why
did I click on that link?

The poor dumbshits seem to think that the war is justified because of September 11, and the torture at Gitmo is justified because of September 11, so people (like Dick Durbin) must have forgotten about what happened on September 11.

21. There is no 9/11 media black out. That's a bloody freeper myth
It was horrendous and is permanently imprinted in all of our minds and hearts. The last thing that we need is the media rehashing it, because instead of memorializing the attack in its proper perspective, they'll be using it to play the Bushies game of Fear Mongering.

But I tell ya what should be shown instead;

- Show me more of Bush paralyzed for SEVEN minutes after he was told by Andrew Card that the country was under attack.

- Show me more pictures of the Bin Ladens being whisked out of the country during the very time that the nation's airports were shut down because of the attack.

- Show me more pictures of innocent American Muslims and "suspicious looking dark skinned people" victimized by angry vigilantes, who are so fucking stupid that they can't even distinguish a Sikh from their their own lard asses.

- Show me more of Bush playing the 9/11 card as a ready excuse to attack a sovereign country that had nothing to do with the attack.

- Show me more of Bush kissing and holding hands with the ruler of the country that supplied the majority of the attackers.

- Show me more of the pictures of the innocents who died in Iraq because George Bush lied about 9/11 and Iraq.

- Show me Bushies ignoring the outgoing Clinton Administration's warnings that international terrorism would be their biggest challenge... Their minds were preoccupied with missile defense, BTW.

- Now show me Bush answering for his bullshit.

FirefigherNC can't even spell his job title. The media NEVER mentions 911, apart from the 11,000 mentions per day, and we should all go to Indy Pendance's home page and download his flash, ifn you know what i mean.

throughout the year"

um, why? doesnt that seem a little... i donno... macabre? i mean dwelling on the death and destruction?

at the very least it would be weird and pointless.

32. The images they should see constantly
are those of citizens of foreign nations who grieved with us on the day after... those pictures bring more tears now than they did then, because I think of the hurt we have caused those who were only trying to help and their confusion when their graciousness was spat upon. If a whole country could go to hell, it would be for something like that. Pure, base, ingratitude.
