I won a Feng Shui consultation!
I am taking a basic Feng Shui class and I won a two hour consulation for my house! I'm really happy, but now I have to clean my house so the teacher and the other four people in the class can come over and not think I am a complete slob. Does anyone want to help me clean?

1. As soon as I clean up my own home, which might take quite a while,
house cleaning is my least fav thing to do in the whole world! Cool on the Feng Shui consultation. I took a 2 hour class once and I would love to be able to afford a consultant.

2. it was a prize!
As part of the class, she wanted to do a "field trip" to a real house. She put the names of the participants in a jar and I got picked! It's worth about $500! Tuition was only $80 for four classes!

But now my problem is, I have this cluttered house that needs to be made presentable by next Saturday and I hate housework!

So somebody help me, please!

the bane of Feng Shui!

I am a clutter whore even though I know it is b-a-d for the energy flow.

Congrats on the prize and tell us how it goes!

BTW, which school are you attending?

7. My Favorite Reality Shows
(Besides the ones on bbcamerica--I'm in love with Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen.)

Are "Clean House" & "Clean Sweep". They both involve crews who clear out several rooms in the designated house--believe me, you are NOT more of a slob that these folks. They sift through the stuff mercilessly & stage a garage sale. Meanwhile, cleaning, painting & re-decorating take place. Each show has an "organization" expert who often refers to Feng Shui. All the mystical stuff aside, getting rid of the clutter is #1 for Feng Shui.

Finally, the homeowners see their refurbished spaces. Organized closets with NO WIRE HANGARS, inspiring work areas, beloved collections spotlighted instead of being stuffed in boxes and serene bedrooms all surely will inspire better lives.

Don't worry about making things perfect first. That's part of the process.

8. I'm actually not going to touch where objects are placed
because I want her to see where my important things are, in a Feng Shui kind of way. I just want to tidy and clean a bit. I'm really excited about this!
