Let's see - I've been wearing glasses since that stupid ass Vision Van came to school in kindergarten.

100. I'm only 14. What's weird is that the disco craze started in 1975
Edited on Wed Jun-15-05 07:53 PM by Shrubhater
(in the U.S. The disco craze first started in France in 1973.), and I was born in 1991. I also LOVE to disco dance. YOU SHOULD BE DANCING!!(that's a song title, normally it's not in all caps. The song was done by the Bee Gees in 1976. It was used in the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. The movie Saturday Night fever came out in the fall of 1977. It was John Travolta's first feature film. In scene 12 of that movie, John Travolta (playing Tony Manero, an uneducated Italian teenager), preformed one of the most famous dance sequences in movie history. John Travolta trained for 9 months with those disco moves. In the movie, John Travolta makes disco dancing look easy, but in reality, it's very exhausting. (I know because I've disco danced before.)I once made a tape of the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, and on my tape recorder, I'm able to slow down the recording. When I slow down the song Night Fever, it will have a slow dance feel to it, instead of a high energy disco dance song. It's slowed down from the key of Db minor to A minor, not to mention the tempo is slowed too. I could just go on rambling about disco etc., but I will leave you here, because I'm probably boring you.)
On edit: :hi:

37. I worked in outer space for almost 50,000 years before settling on Earth
I worked as a Level 7 Galactic Dust Collector for the Xanthes Space Reclamation Project. Pretty prestigious job, really, and some damn high level scientific research - as far beyond your Earth technology as you humans are beyond republicans - but when the Xanthes sun went nova, the paycheckes stopped coming in, so to speak. So I (and some others from the bunch of us who were still out exploring the galaxy) moved to Earth, and have pretty much stayed here for the last 200 centuries or so, with an occasional trip off-planet to see friends and cure the wanderlust for a moment and get out where we can fly at some decent speeds.

Your Earth speed limits measured in mere miles per mere hours is totally unsatisfying, for one used to passing stars in seconds.

95. hmmm
I used to do thrifting in Oakland, but there is not much there now. Several of the cool stores of my college years have closed. Several Goodwills, like the one in Bloomfield, are no more. I like to frequent the Red White and Blue stores ( excellent pickings) and there is a really good thrift store on Route 30 just over the Alleg County line. Lots of higher end stuff.

I have never heard the thrifting described in quite that way... but then I don't know much about the thrift stores in other cities.. Why, do you have some familiarity with our fair blue and watery city...? ;)

97. Oh, I have been through Pittsburgh a few times, most recently
about 15 years ago. I had this friend who was always on about the thrift shopping in Pittsburgh, and she wouldn't stop talking about how great it was. But I never was able to find the what and the where.

I think all the good thrift shopping in the world has moved to Great Falls, MT.

it means she has a good heart and she helped a lot of people. Believe me, it usually takes more than just needing the money for a person to volunteer to do that. I've known people who needed the money and they still did it only once!

You did a good job raising her! YES INDEED. And by the way, no one paid my way through college - I joined the military. :)
