Give me a freaking break.
They are CUTTING INTO PROGRAMMING on NBC to bring "breaking news" in the Michael Jackson trial.

I'd really rather be watching Days Of Our Lives - a soap opera I enjoy - than hearing about the Michael Jackson soap opera. This can't wait until five o'clock?

1. Sigh.
 I'm with you, LW. I too would rather watch a soap -- and I don't have any favorites. :shakinghead:

What a crock.

6. In my fantasies, they break into programming to announce...
...the impeachment of the (p)resident.

2. Boy oh boy, am I with you...
As I said in another thread on this, I'll be so glad when all the hoo-haa is over....And we can get on to the next trivial thing that the MSM uses to distract us from the stuff that REALLY MATTERS!

I mean, they could use a couple of minutes that would have gone for commercials to announce the verdict; and then resumed the normal programming...

:wtf:

5. And it wasn't even time to announce the verdict.
They were just announcing that the verdict would be announced in an hour, then they spent several minutes blathering about bail and appeals and security for MJ.

There are much more important things they could be breaking into programming for, if they must break into programming.

3. Aah, Days of Our Lives... I hate when they interrupt soaps!
Because it's not like you get reruns (unless you have Soap Network or whatever).

Ah, Days...haven't watched it in a while...kind of glad, too--why did they bring Tony and Billie back! WHY!!! Don't get me started on how dumb it is that Georgia's alive....

4. And the whole audience knows who Georgia is too.
No one on the show can seem to figure it out.

7. Salem folk aren't so smart, LOL.
I mean, to date they have not banished the DiMera family, who seem to cause 90% of the problems in that town!

8. I think the DiMeras cause ALL of the problems in Salem.

Seriously - I cannot think of a single storyline going on right now that doesn't involve Tony DiMera somehow.

They were being jerked around by the DiMeras when I watched in college 21 years ago.

They need a new villain, but I still like watching. It's escapism.

9. Yeah, and they dress so well!
Days has the best look of all the soaps, IMO. The lighting, everything. I have watched on and off for about...16 years. And yup, the DiMeras were screwing with everyone then! I think I started watching a little bit before the Cruise of Deception when Hope "died".

Ahhh...Days...
