Best birthday present I've ever recieved.
Edited on Mon Jun-13-05 02:19 AM by Nailzberg
Okay, my birthday was off to a lackluster start. There's a girl I like and she went out of town for her brother's graduation. I can handle that, it's family, but I was kinda down we weren't hanging out.

But my old roommate called me and invited me to her place to watch a movie with her. It wasn't gonna be an exciting night for me. Until she gave me my gift. "Dreams From My Father", the Barack Obama book. You gotta love having a friend like that.

1. You need help. You really do.
You visit an old "roommate" *nudge, nudge, wink, wink* and you get excited about a book.

Maybe you'd better join the sex-ed threads and get an update.

2. Come on, it was the OBAMA book.
Edited on Mon Jun-13-05 03:12 AM by Nailzberg
Not just any book, but BARACK OBAMA's book. And she's a Swedish citizen. So that she knew me well enough, and my dedication to American politics, to get me THAT book, was a shock.

Best present I've ever received.

My parents got me the "The Kite Runner". Close second.

And consider my past birthdays - Two years ago I found out my (ex)fiance was cheating on me. - So the "Best Birthday Present" was an easy award to win.

3. Very cool! She sounds like a REAL person.
She certainly understood what would make you happy on your birthday!

4. Sounds to me like you had a wonderful birthday!
And now you have something to read that will also remind you of this lovely day! Good for your former roommate! Sounds like she knows you very well...
