Isn't that point of Cruise getting together with a professional virgin? :-)

I like what Mimi Rogers (Cruise's first wife) said about why they divorced: He's into this whole celibacy thing and I'm not. At least she didn't put up with it for 10 flippin' years like Nicole Kidman, but Kidman was well-compensated in money and publicity for doing without for a decade, and Rogers is now fallen off the map, so Kidman did the right thing career-wise and no doubt to her it was worth it.

It would be difficult for me to believe that a healthy young woman fails to notice that her husband or boyfriend is failing to do the dirty. Doesn't mean he's gay, could indeed be what Rogers somewhat naively believed, which was that his path in scientology was to be celibate, but who knows. Cruise certainly isn't saying anything, nor are Kidman or the other beards.

17. i'm just saying that's what Rogers thinks...
...not what I think.

I doubt Cruise told her that, no honey, we're not getting down to it because I prefer dudes. Rogers at least at that time was a little naive. She'd married two Scientology guys in a row.

27. Cruise is not gay...
If he was, we'd being seeing him in video action all over the internet like Pam Anderson and Paris Hilton.

9. Yeah...John's straight now, isn't he?
I keep forgetting.

L. Ron Hubbard was a big homophobe. I honestly don't know why a gay man or lesbian would want to join that cult.

24. I actually heard this is why these famous men of 'questionable"
orientation became scientologists. and "wives" were chosen for them. Don't know how true but what i heard or read somewhere. were both ever married to other scientologists?

25. Mimi Rogers is a Scientologist, as is Kelly Preston.
All of Tom Cruise's wives became Scientologists. Kelly Preston, Travolta's wife, is one, also.

29. also..i dont think scientology was meant to "help" them with
their homosexuality but to "cure" them of it. so that goes along with what you said about hubbard being a homophobe.

31. I've thumbed through a copy of "Dianetics", jonnyblitz.
In "Dianetics", Hubbard refers to homosexuality as a "mental illness"

I really don't think the teachings of Scientology has changed all that much since Hubbard's death.

He's terrified that the "gay rumors" will affect his standing at the box office. He's not an actor....please. Like he'll ever win an Academy Award or a acting prize at Cannes. When he's on the screen, he's "Tom Cruise". He's selling a product. And he's terrified that people won't flock into the theaters to see some dumbass lame thing like "Mission Impossible 28" because he may be perceived as gay. It's pure homophobia and insulting to gay people.

End of rant, STM. Sorry. :-)
