...I love me some B-B-Q, especially chicken because you can taste the smoke more. All you need is some sweet tea, greens and mac-n-cheese to round it out. And cornbread to sop up the pot liquor from the greens. Oh, and some sweet potato pie to finish it off. You know sweet potatoes are from the New World but yams are from Africa. I wonder if they make yam pie in the Congo? I have a friend who doesn't like sweet potatoes, but he can play the hell out of some congos. Or is that congas? He plays the bongos, too. I'm pretty sure it's not bongas. He used to play the bong, too, but now he has to take tests. Not the written kind, but ones where he goes in a bathroom with a cup. What he comes out with looks like lemonade, but let me tell you, it sure doesn't taste like it. I always liked lemonade, but never really liked limeade. It looks like jello that went wrong, or antifreeze. Down here people don't call it antifreeze as much as they call it coolant. It doesn't freeze much here. I did see it snow once, but it melted real quick like so we never got to write our names with urine. Do they grow snow peas in snow? They'd be real easy to find since the snow is white and they're green. Unless someone peed on them and then you wouldn't want to eat them at all but you could feed'em to the chickens. Would that make them chick peas then? Mama had a chicken once. We called him Earl.
