Are there any doll colectors in the house?
My wife, Marshmallow woman collects dolls, mostly bride dolls, but that's another story. Yesterday she came home with one she had bought from what we call a junk shop.

The woman who owns the shop had purchased the doll from an estate, and didn't know anything about it. It is an old porcelin doll, made by Court of Love.

I've been looking for information about court of love most of the day, I must be using the wrong terminology, I keep getting directed to sites that want to sell me love dolls.

It is numbered, but we can't find a name anywhere, does anyone know anything about this doll manufacturer, or know of a good source for doll identification? I'd like to be able to tell her something this evening, you're help is greatly appreciated.

1. just a suggestion..
Go to Barnes & Noble or a major library and look at some doll collector books-- find one with pics similar and find the lingo needed to then go to the internet...

I've got a very old porcelain doll that I inherited and I'm going to need to do the same thing. Whatever you do, don't go to an antique sale/store and get info. They will most likely downplay its significance, especially if you inquire about how much it might be worth...
