He says hello and then pauses for a moment. I ask what's wrong. He replies that I might not want to do laundry when I get home. "Why?" I ask. "Well I did not notice there was a pen in with the clothes and there is now blue ink all over all the clothes & the dryer." I am very proud of myself because I did not laugh at him. Any great ideas for getting ink off clothes and the inside of a dryer. Men, gotta love um when they try and help.
spray the stains with hairspray and rinse with cold water. Spray it and rinse. Repeat until the ink is gone, and then wash the items. Takes some elbow grease, but it works. I was shocked.
14. Consider a waterless (lanolin-baseed) hand cleaner
e.g. Goop, Go-Jo, etc. Many similar non-abrasive cleaners are sold at auto parts stores. They work very well on most oil-based inks and will not damage the enamel surface of your dryer drum. Or if that is stainless don't worry about it at all; go ahead and use red fuming nitric acid. (just kidding about the acid)
Check the instructions on a container for how to use it on a load of laundry. I've used it to clean whole piles of rags that were soaked with grease.
