Leaving California in one week!!
Well.. It's been a while since I posted here. I've been busy buying and selling.. and getting ready to relocate. After 40-something years, this California native is moving out of the state. We love it here for a lot of reasons, but realized that we could never afford to live here if we ever tried to move from the home we have now.

We had considered a few areas in Oregon and Washington. Loved Oregon, but with a kid in school, we couldn't wait for their economy to turn around. We chose Gig Harbor, Washington. I have a sinking feeling it's a cesspool of wealthy republicans.. but Maria Cantwell and Patty Murray, I think, are two of my elected officials. If there are dems to be found in the area, I'll find them! I do know that there is an active Howard Dean group out of Tacoma, and Seattl is one of the biggest Dean groups.. so that's cool.

I'm looking forward to trees, and water, and rain, and being near my family up there again. And.. being near a big city again.

1. Good-bye and good luck
My husband is from Enumclaw, Washington, and I like Seattle (except for the traffic). Please do support the good Democrats in that state. And I hope you meet good Dean people. I'll do my best in California.

3. Wish I could be here!
Davis is being so railroaded. I'm heartsick about what has been happening to California... :(

4. stay and look north!
The cost of living in northern Calif. is not as much as other parts of the Golden State. Try looking up north above Eureka or near Crescent City. Northeastern Calif. is not a costly place to live either - the towns of Weed, Dunsmuir and Yreka come to mind.

Not much work in any of these areas though ... :(

:dem:

P.S. We really do need you to vote for Davis!!
