It's one of my biggest faults.

Are you kidding me?

Does it make me feel good to know I'm not a complete moron? Absolutely. In fact everytime I see a moron, I feel better.

6. That's just it
They may be a bunch of fucked up dipshits, but all in all, we're all equal under the eyes of the goddess.

I chose to recognize it, even if they don't.

7. I feel superior to everyone else.
Since I'm the most important person to me, what happens to me is more important than anything that happens to anyone else, therefore I am superior. And it does feel good.

11. No...
I recognize that I am smarter than some people (and dumber than others), nicer than some (and meaner than others), prettier than some (and uglier than others), but those are just external things--part of the "hardware" I happen to be using.

The selfhood that I actually am is no different from the selfhood everyone else is; it's as absurd to say one is better than another as it is to say some water is more wet than other water.

12. No, everybody is equal
It's just some people are more equal than others...

No..seriously--I just had to say that as a wisecrack. I can't remember where I read it but it has always slayed me.

I know I'm not better than anybody else, though sometimes I wonder how people's viewpoints and behaviors can be so freaking warped...

24. it comes from George Orwell's "Animal Farm"
"All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others"

Should I feel superior to you because I remembered? :D

13. obviously. Check out my user-name
but no, it does not make me feel good. I take no pleasure in dealing with the ignorant, lazy, mean-spirited, dishonest, greedy, selfish, and arrogant people that I seem to cross paths with.

14. Equanimity . . .
in my life isn't just a theory. It's a practice, along with love, compassion and sympathetic joy. So no, I don't feel superior to anyone else because I know that I'm _not_ superior to any other sentient being.

17. that is a hard question to answer
I can't say that I feel superior to other people...I know that I am smarter than some people, or more financially well off but that doesn't mean that I am superior to them or feel that way about it.

There are people I don't like to be around but it has nothing to do with my feeling "better" than them...it has more to do with their actions turning me away.

But when the economy crumbles, we'll all be feeling the same.

19. In some sense.
I feed my mind, I truly do my best to be compassionate to others, I take care of my body, I face my fears, and I fully speak my thoughts. I do not wallow in self-pity, I am impeccably honest, and I work very hard.

It doesn't necessarily make me feel superior, just the best I can be within myself. That's what everyone should strive for.

21. There are people from High School I feel superior to...
You know the ones that were mean to me in high school because they thought they were better than me? For example, one of the ones that was a total bitch to me now works in the kitchen cooking really badly at one of this town's cafe's. She used to brag about the colleges courting her. She was always talking about she was getting the hell out of town. That makes me feel like I triumphed. Oh, and did I mention she looks 35 instead of 26? Yeah, she's aged poorly. And I'm not taking pleasure in someone's misery. We know her family. Her family hasn't been through anything tramatic. Our moms are good friends.
This just makes me all warm and fuzzy.

26. I'm superior to anyone who doesn't know that misogyny=bad.
Of course, I don't feel good about this.

I really, really feel bad for the piles of people who don't understand what a sexist or misogynist remark is or is not. They're assholes, inadvertantly sharing their assholishness with the world, and feeling pretty good about it, and rarely getting called on it, because that's the kind of world we live in at the moment. Yeah, sure, I work to change that, but sometimes it feels like I'm working all alone. I don't feel terrific about that either.
